Inventory the existing station.
List media, playlists, schedules, presenters, credentials, public players, directories, DNS records, apps, analytics and reporting obligations. Record the current stream formats and listener links.
Identify anything that cannot be exported. Screenshots and written schedule notes are better than discovering a missing rule during cutover.
Clean the media before transfer.
Remove known duplicates, confirm lawful access to every file and repair important metadata. Export original-quality audio rather than downloading a lossy public stream.
Large libraries can move through SFTP or staged uploads. Verify item counts and storage use after import.
Rebuild programming privately.
Create playlists, station imaging and the weekly schedule in the new platform. Keep public promotion pointed at the existing station while the new AutoDJ runs in a private test state.
Compare the old and new week. Pay special attention to time zones, recurring shows, overnight blocks and daylight-saving changes.
Test live presenters and fallback.
Issue new presenter credentials and connection profiles. Test each source client, metadata path and the automatic return to AutoDJ.
Do not copy shared source passwords into an uncontrolled group chat. Treat the migration as an opportunity to isolate and rotate access.
Cut over listening links once.
Choose a low-risk time, update website players, directories and DNS, then monitor both the old and new services during the transition. Keep a documented rollback point.
Avoid changing the station name, website structure and broadcast platform simultaneously unless necessary. Fewer moving parts make listener problems easier to diagnose.
Verify and retire the old platform.
Check real listening from different devices, analytics, scheduled playback, live source, metadata, artwork and reports. Only cancel the old provider after the new stream has operated through a representative schedule.
Preserve required playout and billing records before closing the old account.
